About NEF

The Norwegian Entomological Association currently has approx. 600 members spread across the country. Our members include both professional entomologists and amateurs.

NEF is subordinate to SABIMA (Co-operation Council for Biological Diversity), which is an umbrella organization for the biological associations in Norway.

Norsk Entomologisk Forening

The Norwegian Entomological Society was founded on Saturday 21 May 1904 by ten eager entomologists from different parts of the country. The main initiator was coin master Thomas Georg Münster (pictured).
