Insekt-Nytt is NEF’s popular science member magazine. The magazine is primarily aimed at the hobby entomologist and addresses topics of interest to both beginners and experienced entomologists. The magazine is published four times a year and is sent to all NEF members.

Important theme issues
This comprehensive issue of Insekt-Nytt deals with various techniques for catching and preparing insects. Sixteen authors have contributed articles that address both the most common techniques and more specialized techniques for specific insect groups.
In 2004, NEF celebrated its hundredth anniversary as an association. In connection with the anniversary, the book The History of Entomology in Norway was published. In this booklet of Insekt-Nytt, the book about NEF’s history is presented, and the most important features in NEF’s long history are discussed.
This issue is devoted to the tabloid press’ favorite insects: the stinging, biting and itchy hordes of troublesome species.
